Songs from a Satvic Angel

… to the one who is shunya & beyond …

The idea of putting this offering of poems into a book form came to me one day in meditation. I had a desire that I could write something that gave a feeling of love and comfort to the reader rather than it be an intellectual process.

The songs are meant to be simple and if that is how they are seen, I feel I have succeeded to breach the distance between knowing and becoming. This is the journey we all must take from our minds to our hearts and in this process may heal ourselves and the world around us.

The title of the book refers to an angelic purity that is an aspiration and the deep reality of who we all are. It is just for us to uncover that quality and sometimes a few words help.

We all have knowledge and we all have experience but I have found there is a vast ocean between our knowing and our becoming.

These songs are a small expression of a greater experience. That experience is of an eternal love given unconditionally to me by many I have met along my journey, including and especially my children.

This selection of songs is as near as I can get, at this time, to talk about that love I believe we all come to seek. They are written spontaneously, and my wish is that they are received in the same manner.

I have often found solace and been uplifted by a few words from time to time - if they are the right

ones. I hope you may find a few of use to you.

The terms satvic and shunya both origin in Sanskrit language. Satvah means true, pure, wise, and honest. Shunya names the spiritual emptiness, the ultimate goal of yoga, the union with the Divine, the being beyond every form, thoughtless awareness, Nirwana.
